Hunting Season

An intimate drama featuring an estranged father-son relationship, set in Patagonia

2017 | Running Time: 105 minutes | Rating: NR

Following his mother’s death and an expulsion from private school in Buenos Aires, an angsty teen named Nahuel is forced to reunite with a father who he hasn’t seen for many years. When Nahuel arrives in rural Patagonia where his dad’s started a new family, their relationship has a difficult start. But when the father and son go hunting together, they find something to bond over and a lesson on how to use a rifle provides some needed discipline. Over the course of a few expeditions into the wild, alone and with Ernesto’s colleagues, their relationship slowly begins to thaw. The film premiered at the 2017 Venice Film Festival.
