To be released in Spring 2025, the story of Lilly Ledbetter’s fight for justice started at the Goodyear Tire Company, where she endured two decades of pay inequity, stalled promotions, and multiple types of harassment. Her fight continued all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, where a technicality was used to deny her rights. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg was so outraged with the Court’s ruling that she advised Lilly to take her case to Congress in her dissent. Lilly did…and made history. In 2008, President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act into law.
The award-winning cast includes Patricia Clarkson as Lilly, John Benjamin Hickey as her husband Charles, and Tom Sadoski as her tireless attorney, Jon Goldfarb. The film is written and directed by Hollywood veteran Rachel Feldman, who has been a champion of women’s causes in the film and television industry for more than 20 years.
“Lillly Ledbetter taught us that equality isn’t something that happens by stating a commitment—it’s something we have to fight for, with intention and persistence. Her willingness to challenge the status quo not only helped change laws but helped shape a new era in corporate responsibility. “
